5 Shinto judo club members took park in the Hertfordshire schools competition on 28th June.
Samuel James displayed some good judo and was unlucky not to continue a winning streak and was awarded a bronze medal. Georgia Greenidge was in a mixed group and fought well. She was unlucky not to win more fights but was awarded a gold for her own category. Alethea Calvert Jordon put on a strong aggressive performance and stormed her way to a gold. Hannah James was really fired up for this event and she didn’t disappoint with a fine foot sweep to win a gold. Her only disappointment was that she didn’t have more fights. Frustration seemed to get the better of Loyal and determined member Wesley Greenidge, but he was still awarded a gold for he category. Another good days result for Shinto, bring on the next championship!
