Hi guys, well what a day we had, and what a very pleasant gentleman, yamamoto Sensei is, he was rather sprightly for his 75 years of age as many of the elder Jampanese sensei are, and was delighted to show s all hos suipple he was when almost getting into the plits then placing his head to the floor and getting his foot to his face, and that was just part of his regular warm up.

We learnt quite a bit about Tai Sabaki (footwork) just with the Ippon seionage as an example, also practised ashi waza, newaza including Waki Gatame and sankaku Jime,

Very knowledgable sensei which is what you expect from a Kodokan Hachidan (8th Dan)

It was great to get to meet and learn fomr someone who obviously knows his onions.

The guys who attended from Shinto were, Gavin, Rhona, Chris, Rhia, Altheia and myself, I am sure all who went will agree it was a worthwhile day of Judo and some new tricks were learnt by all.
