On 13th December Shinto entered the North London winter Bashio held in Royston. It was a small turn out compared to normal but nevertheless there was an all round convincing performance by all members. Denvir Ibrahim power his way to a gold medal winning all of his fights by ippon. Having no one her own weight and size, Rhiannon Shand was put in a group 2 weight sizes heavier then her. A determined and brave effort saw her win a bronze. This group was won convincingly by Aysegul Mehmet. Jordan Forbes Amos surprised everyone including himself to win his first gold medal. Older brother Grifton still having to fight more experienced judoka won a bronze. Georgia Greenidge was matched up against the more experienced Alethea Calvert Jordon. Both put on a good fight with the higher graded Alethea wining gold. A much improved Wesley Greenidge saw him win a gold against a higher graded opponent. Finally our senior entrant Mark Amos in his first competition fought well to win another Shinto gold. A fine way to end the year. Well done and congraculations to all.
