Nice ippon Betty, although I would classify the throw as kuchiki taoshi.

True spirit of Judo is nothing but the gentle and diligent free spirit. Judo rests on flexible action of mind and body. The word flexible however never means weakness but something more like adaptability and open-mindedness. Gentleness always overcomes strength.

I agree, her hand doesnt in fact get the heel of her Uke, but behind the knee, my mistake, once again, Doh

I was also basing my statement on the throwing motion of the technique.

Once again, correct, the direction of uke in each throw is different, here are a couple of pics to demonstrate the differences,

Kibisu gaeshi

Kuchiki Taoshi

My initial assumption was that betty threw with Kibisu Gaeshi, due to her hands, its not a throw she has been taught but due to her being a shorty, she seem to get near the legs of her opponent and got a grab of her leg.

In the clip she actually grabs the opposite side leg as her hand or the same depending on how you explain it, hence my assumption,

Paul may I ask, Is it Ukes or Tori's Direction which determines the technique?
